Cupcake Tour – Chikalicious at GRNY!
Last night’s signing at GRNY was a blast! The staff there (especially the manager, Mark) was so helpful and nice. I have been a longtime fan of Giant Robot magazine, so signing at one of their shops was a big thrill for me!
I’ll also be at their SF location in November. Anyway, GRNY had a cool art show hanging, Uglydolls, awesome toys, clothes, and books. I urge you to visit GRNY!
For cupcakes I opted for Chikalicious, a steady cupcake fave of mine that never disappoints. I think they likely have the best red velvets in the city. They also are some of the least expensive cupcakes in the city ($1.75 for standard flavors), so they’re an all-around winner! The cake is moist and tender, the frosting fluffy and delicious. They use cream cheese in their red velvet frosting (my fave style) and I also had banana and vanilla cupcakes which were great too. Everybody loved them!
Friends and family came out for this one, a fun time was had by all!
