I have a terrace and I like to do container gardening. Right now it’s pretty sparce since the heat wave dried up a lot of the annuals while I was on tour, but I was expecting that. I planted some coleus seeds that are already popping up and my little trees are doing OK. In September I plan to get some nice fall flowers like mums and asters, get some color back out there! Anyway, here are some great photos I took in the Spring-time when the flowers were poppin’. Pretty!

Ok, I started working on categorizing the posts so you should be able to just read my tour blog by clicking here. Yeah!
I’ve been enjoying just being at home, relaxing, socializing, and spending time with my peops, who I missed madly! One thing I got to do was go to the 24/7 party at Rocketship and The Beat blogged the event, so you can see me batting my lashes for about 1 second in this video. Nice! It also includes Matt Loux and Scottish newcomer to Brooklyn, Simon Fraser. I was thrilled to have him sign my copy of Lux and Alby! Other news is brewing, I have a Boston event coming up and a Hartford, CT solidifying as well as SPX and the Punk rock Comic show coming up. Details will come soon!
I missed New york so much, when I saw the city out the airplane window my smile was so wide my face almost broke and all I could think was “I love you! I love you!”. I was sending strong love beams all over the whole city. Anyway, lots to catch up on, this tour has been the coolest experience of my life.
What a great place! I definitely would like to come back here someday. The airport here is also fairly arty. It has art exhibits sprinkled throughout. Also (thankfully) hotel tax refund forms. The hotel tax is really high. I can’t believe the tour is about over already. I’d been anticipating it for so many months it’s strange to have actually done it now. I feel really accomplished, I had been worried I may get a cold or some other snafu but things have gone as smooth as possible. Regular doses of airborne and judicious use of antibacterial lotion have helped keep me well. Also, trying to get plenty of sleep and avoidance of fast food has helped me along for sure. It can be done! One can come out of San Diego Con, go straight into a 2 week tour with 8 stops and NOT get sick. That in itself is a big accomplishment. Add to that all the great people I met, books I signed, sights I’ve seen, press I got, and it was 100% worth all the planning and effort!
